FTHC Tattoos

Hey everyone. As we all know, there’s a fair few of you lovely people who have got tattoos that are related to the music I make.

That’s awesome – to the point that I want to actually document and celebrate it a little.

I can’t be specific about the plans right now, but if you do have FTHC-related ink, please do get in touch by emailing

Watch Live Lounge + Listen To Radio 1 Rocks

What a completely insane 48 hours. I took a break from the US tour to make a brief visit to the UK for a couple of radio shows, and then flew back to America to resume duties here. My body clock hates me at the moment.

The reason for my visit to London was to do a Live Lounge session for Sara Cox which was awesome. You can watch me perform ‘The Way I Tend To Be’ here, and also a cover of Foo Fighters’ ‘All My Life’ here. Me and The Sleeping Souls had a lot of fun practicing that one!

Then later that evening I went to the BBC Maida Vale studios to get ready for Radio 1 Rocks. If you missed it, listen again here and watch some photos of me in action too.

Best get some rest now, got a show in Indianapolis tonight. Jetlag, you will not defeat me!

Radio 1 Live Lounge And Rocks Gig Tomorrow

Just wanted to let you know I’ll be taking a short break from the US tour to come back to the UK this week as there’s plenty happening on home shores. I’ll be doing a Live Lounge session tomorrow for Sara Cox on Radio 1, where I will be playing my new single ‘The Way I Tend To Be’ plus a secret rock cover. Tune in to Radio 1 from 10am (BST).

Then later that evening, I’ll be playing a special gig for Radio 1 Rocks at Maida Vale in London which will be streamed live on Zane Lowe’s show, click here to tune in on Thursday from 8pm (BST).

I’d like some fan participation at the Radio 1 Rocks show, so if there’s a particular song from ‘Tape Deck Heart’ that you want me to play, you can vote on your favourite track here. And if you vote, you’ll automatically be entered into a draw to win a FRANK SAYS DIG t-shirt and a signed FTHC flag.

Online Store Update

Just wanted to give you a quick update on availability in my online store.

Not many ‘Frank Says Dig’ t-shirts left, so if you want to support my digging cause your best bet would be to order now to avoid disappointment.

The ‘Tape Deck Heart’ plectrums are close to selling out too, be quick if you want to get your hands on those.

If you miss out on the t-shirt and plectrums, don’t forget about the guitar strap and iPhone cover. Pretty nifty if you ask me.

In other news, the US tour has been great so far, The Architects and Beans On Toast have been marvellous company. Got The Dropkick Murphys to look forward to on Sunday in Columbus as well.

Best get back to it, until next time!

Frank & Greg James

I popped in to Greg James’ Radio 1 show last Wednesday to revisit an old jingle I wrote him, talk about ‘Tape Deck Heart’, playing the olympics and loads of other bits.

You can listen again on the BBC iPlayer here.

In other radio news, I also picked a few tracks for Xfm here and played live in session for Absolute Radio’s Geoff Lloyd here.

Frank Says Dig

Due to overwhelming demand from you guys, the ‘Frank Says Dig’ t-shirts that feature in the ‘The Way I Tend To Be’ video are going to be brought into actual existence.

Should you fancy it you can get yours here.

This kind of caught us by surprise though so we haven’t got many, you’d best be quick.

And, yes, I *know* the shirts in the video say ‘Frankie Says Dig’ (because of Frankie Goes To Hollywood) but these ones say Frank, because that’s my name (and because there’s only about two people in my life, who I’ve known since I was at primary school, who I can handle calling me “Frankie”).

The Making Of ‘The Way I Tend To Be’

You’ll have seen the video for ‘The Way I Tend To Be’ by now. And if not, why not? It’s here.

It’s the story of one man digging a big hole and we’re pleased to present a behind the scenes look at the making of the video, courtesy of Mr Ben Morse.

There’s more to it than you might think, click here to watch…
